For this weeks camera
critters I have a couple of duckling pics that I took at the
Maplewood Nature Center back in August.
I am not sure what type of ducks these are, it is pretty hard to identify them at this age. There mother was around also but many of the female ducks look very similar.
These two would spend the day eating bugs and other
protein that they found in the water. When it was time to sleep they would go under the boardwalk. This provided them with protection from many of the raptors in the area, which would be very happy to ind an available duck chick, but it was probably a bit of a problem when people were walking on the boards over head.

OOoooh ducklings are my fav! Look at their little feet under the water...so cute.
