Tall buttercup is an invasive species that originated in Europe. The buttercup family gets its name from the yellow, butter, color of the blooms.
Every time that I see buttercups I am reminded of the movie The Princess Bride. Directed by Rob Reiner this has to be in the top 5 funniest movies of all time. The reason why the flowers remind me of the movie is because the princess in the story is named buttercup.
I love the buttercups.

ReplyDeleteButtercup is such a sweet name. I didn't realize it was an invasive plant. If a plant inundates you, it might as well be pretty!
