Wood Lily

Wood Lily
The wood lily is a common wild flower found in the eastern and central United States and most of Canada. It grows in sandy soil and prefers a lot of sunlight. Here in Minnesota it usually blloms in July.

Really lovely photo of the lily. I'm one of your followers; I live in rural Maryland, and was out gardening this morning. Daffodils are almost ready to bloom. One crocus blooming. A welcome sight!

Best wishes from Anne

Your Wood Lily is really beautiful. It looks very much like our tiger lily. Back home (MA)the flowers are starting their heads up through the soil. Spring is just about here!

I painted a blackberry lily that looks very much like your wood lily. I think they may be the same flower. Take a peek and see what you think. Your photo is fantastic. So beautiful.
