    Your lovely photos bring back a few memories of days gone by. I used to live in Alabama, once upon a time, and saw these fantastic creatures quite often. They are absolutely stunning in person. You have captured them in all their glory. ~karen

    interesting, never seen such a red head. Recently posted a woodpecker myself but a much mor ordinary one (for Sweden anyway) always nice to look at your wonderful birdshots and learn a bit more
