I have always windered what those pretty little unasuming flowers were! I can certainly see the family resemblence to Asters. Great shot, too!

One of the more common wildflowers that I see in the fields and on the sides of roads here is Philadelphia fleabane. This native member of the Aster family blooms during the day and closes at night. This one was photographed at Purgatory Creek.
