I've never seen one of these and looked up the species. Lovely creature and great shot. Hope I see one some day.
The model for the U of MN mascot, Goldy Gopher, not an actual gopher. I suppose "Go Thirteen-lined Ground Squirrel" doesn't have the same punch as "Go Gophers"
