Golden Cranes

Sandhill Cranes coming in for a Landing
As the sandhill cranes returned to their roosting pool for the night the setting sun illuminated them making them appear as if they were made out of gold.

    Fantastic shot. They always look so awkward coming down from the sky....but it's still quite the sight no matter what:)
