The Fountain at Purgatory Creek

In the midst of Eden Prairie , MN, a major Twin Cities Suburb, sits Purgatory Creek. Surrounded by office buildings, shopping malls and freeways the park is an oasis of nature in the heart of suburbia. The park itself is a mirror of the conflict which surrounds it. On one end there sits a vibrant wetland with birds, insects, fish and nature trails. On the other end there is a picnic area with a veteran's sculpture and this fountain, churning up the overflow waters of the creek and launching them up into the sky.

It is very pretty to see this fountain in the natural sculpture of the pond.

It's surprising that this beautiful oasis is near major cities. This would be a great place to take a break from the fast-paced city.

Sounds like a pretty cool spot and I LOVE that fountain in the middle of it all. Thanks for the tip about the links. I was so distracted by my plumbing I didn't even stop to think about the link colors. I thought it was just me. Thanks again!

Looks like a good size late to have a fountain and it's nice! Check out the sky too!
