Broad-leaf Arrowhead

I photogrphed this broad-leaf arrowhead at Purgatory Creek. A native member of the water plantain family they are found growing in a variety of wetland habitats.

It must be so adapted to a wide range of conditions, as it is also growing luxuriantly here in the tropics, and i saw it in Indonesia too.
