Sonchus arvensis or perennial
sowthistle is an invasive wildflower here in Minnesota that originally came from Eurasia.
It spreads quickly because of a deep root system and can
displace native plants. For this reason it is considered as a primary noxious weed here in Minnesota. I photographed this plant at Purgatory Creek.
