Rainy Days by Marilyn Lott

Aren't you amazed when the sky turns dark
And the air has got a certain feel?
You know that something is about to change
And rain sort of fits the bill
-
You look up in the sky in expectancy
Just waiting for the change to take place
It's really rather spell bounding
In that darkened wide-open space
-
And then a splash falls and it hits your nose
You know that you should run for cover
But you stand their waiting excitedly
If, like me you're a rainy day lover
-
And then down it comes, of course
Soon it pounds upon the roofs
It's kind of a miracle when you think about it
And the drastic change is the proof
-
The air changes then to dampness
And smells so fresh and sweet
It pours down upon your head
And puddles beneath your feet
-
Everything will benefit because of the rain
If it does not go on for days
Oh yes, I think it's enjoyable to have
A sweet refreshing rainy day!

Marvelous grumpy skies and I love the poem -- I feel exactly the same way about rainy days. And that's a good thing considering I live in Seattle. Hope you have a great weekend!
