Masters of the Sky

This weekend the World Bird Sanctuary, from St Louis, MO, will be presenting Masters of the Sky at the Carpenter Nature Center. Masters of the Sky is an educational program which features raptors from all over the world.
For the past two years the Wold Bird Sanctuary has presented programs at Carpenter Nature Center in March. In these programs I have been able to see birds that I have never seen before, such as the tawny owl from England, first pic, Eurasian eagle owl, from Europe-Asia, above, and an Eurasian barn owl from Europe-Asia, below, as well as a spectacled owl from South America.
This year the program will feature several owls as well as some other raptors, I believe that they are bringing a white hawk and a bateleur eagle as well as some other birds. The white hawk is a bird that I am really interested in seeing. Programs run through out the day Saturday and Sunday with the admission going to help fund the programs and maintenance of the Carpenter Nature Center. One or two of the programs are already sold out but there are tickets still available for the other programs. So if you live in the Twin Cities area and are looking for something really cool to do this weekend I would recommend stopping in at CNC to see one of these programs. You can get more info reserve your tickets by visiting the CNC website. I will be at several of the programs through out the weekend so if you do decide to participate stop by and say hi if you see me. If you give me your e-mail address I will send you copies of some of the pics that I take over the weekend.

What a wonderful program! Your photographs are beautiful, as usual. I had an owl post today, too. Land Between the Lakes is a wonderful area to visit if you're ever near western Kentucky!
