Today I ventured out to Purgatory Creek in Eden Prairie, MN. As I walked the path that weaves through the wetlands I took a lot of pictures of birds, insects and wildflowers. One of the wildflowers that I found along the shore was Philadelphia
fleebane.

fleebane is a member of the aster family and is native to Minnesota. It can usually be found in moist soil in open fields or woods or along a shore line. An interesting thing about Philadelphia
fleebane is that the flowers close up at night. It would have been cool to see but it is hard to photograph things at night. Besides night in the wetlands are when the
vicious mosquitoes come out and suck your blood.
