Ox-eye Daisy

The ox-eye daisy is a pretty common sight both as a garden flower and a wild flower but it is actually a non-native invasive species. It was originally brought over from Europe in the 1800 and escaped out into the wild. Each can produce up to around 200 seeds which allows it to spread quickly and crowd out native species.

My favorite flower! Beautiful capture. I've been trying to access Today's Flowers website, but it is closed off to me (or maybe I am blocked?). So glad I happened by your submission.

Even though it is an invasive interloper, it is beautiful as is your photo.
