I do so love these-they hang out in our neighborhood and they always take my breath away when I see them in flight. Lately, bald eagles have been sighted down by the Rio Grande.

Wonderful photo! Do you know Hopkins' poem "The Windhover" ?

It's after an English kestrel, but a great kestrel poem all the same.
