What a beautiful shot! It's such pretty bird, but I confess that I know nothing about Cedar Waxwings, so I'll have to do some research on it. I will be on the look out for them in my area. I'm just now learning some things about hummingbirds....I've taken some pics of them and I'm very intrigued by them. Especially the Ruby Throated Hummingbird...it's interesting how he can either show his red feathers or not show them. I have to say, I was quite puzzled by that, as I was taking pictures of him and equally puzzled by his crooked beak. lol

Anyway, I love all of your bird photos...I am very inspired by them!

I found you from Wordless Wednesday...I would have to say that I love how the sun just catches on the left side of the photo and illuminates the yellow belly of the bird. So simplistically vibrant.

Great photo!

This is also brings back some distant memories. I did a report on cedar waxwings in elementary school! I doubt I still have it, otherwise I would get it out for those who commented they don't know much about them :)

I've seen large groups of Cedar Waxwings feasting on the remaining cherries here in New Hampshire. I enjoy visiting your blog for the birds and wildlife but Peanut has stolen my heart. What a cute little kitten. Have a great weekend. A~
