Split Rock Lighthouse

Split Rock Lighthouse
The SplitRock Lighthouse sits on a 130 foot cliff on the north Shore of Lake Superior. The lighthouse was built in the early 1900's after a storm in 1905 where 29 ships were lost in Lake Superior. The lighthouse was completed in 1910, at a cost of only $75,000, and was retired in 1969. It is now part of the Split Rock State Park.
