A lighthouse stands near the rugged shore
To warn ships of the dangerous rocks and waves,
And aiding them from going astray,
Guiding them to a safer way.
It has a powerful and rotating beam
That hovers over the rough tide.
Regardless of what the weather may be,
The welcome ray will always serve to guide.
It is the keeper's responsibility for directing
The bright, gleaming beam on the waves
That helps navigators keep their bearing,
It is their utmost caring that saves.
Look for the sturdy tower on the rugged shore,
Whose nightly beam casts an unfailing ray,
And points it directly to the dangers,
Lurking in its way.

Stunning photo to accompany the poem.
What a gorgeous photo! I love the cliff, and the lighthouse standing at the top! And even a few traces of the autumn leaves!!!
Beautiful! Happy skywatching!

Lovely view!
That's a beauty! And what a spectacular shot. I love the colorful trees making their way up the cliffs, and I like how you captured the rock outcropping in the foreground. Terrific scene!
Beautiful capture with a lovely view... I really love it!
