This is the most amazing dragonfly I have ever seen. AWESOME! My husband and I have been sitting here trig to figure out what it is, and I finally decided to type in the name and hope Wiki would pick it up...and it did! We were so surprised to learn that it is a dragonfly. How strong a telephoto lens did you use for this capture? It is fabulous. Your blog is a true treasure for those of us who are still students even in our 70’s. Thank you so much.
Incredible closeup it looks like a faery creature wearing a foot ball helmet but then you realize those are eyes see all the legs and wow it's a whole new perspective on this winged creature.

I love dragonflies. I decorate my Christmas tree with lots of beautiful dragonflies.

I swear it has a fight helmet on.
Its head looks so human (or at least robotic). I can see the helmet, too.
Love your dragonfly!
