Gorgeous! This reminds me of the very first oral report I had to deliver when I first came to the US in seventh grade. I pronounced monarch with a soft "ch", as in child, for the entire report. Ay...
Monarchs are such lovely creatures and their numbers sadly are being wiped out by the hundreds of thousands every year. May this be a reminder to those whom forget~

Very vivid colors on the monarch. I remember the large colonies from my time in Santa Cruz, CA.
Beautiful closeups! We've been seeing butter flies which are bluish black on top but look like a monarch on the underside of the wings.
