Misty

It has been a long hard winter here this year and even though birds have begun to migrate back and I have even seen a couple of butterflies winter has a way of continuing to return. It is very depressing. So one of the things that I do when I am depressed and sitting at home inside during a winter storm warning is play with my baby kitten Misty. I took a few pictures of her to share.
Isn't she cute.
I had to take pictures when she was sleeping because most of the rest of the time she runs around the house like a wild kitty.
Its been a long time since our last cat, who we had to put to sleep earlier this year, was a kitten, so we have had to get used to having a little ball of energy around the house.
When she sleeps though she is dead to the world.
Well if you happened to be depressed or in a bad mood I hope that this has cheered you up. I know it has made me smile just writing the post. But now this morning the sun has finally come back out so it is time for me to get out and do some birding.

Although we are enjoying having my sister's black cat Puddy, I have to admit I am particularly fond of tabby cats. That last picture of Misty is my favorite.

Those pictures made me smile too! Nothing like a kitten to cheer things up!
P.S. I have a couple patches of some nice organic catnip in my backyard....let me know if you want me to send some up for Misty this summer!

Thanks everyone. I think that Misty is very cute too, but then again I am kind of biased. Right now she can be quite the handful, but I think that she will settle down and end up being a very good cat, once she gets out of the hyper kitten stage.

Ruthie thanks for the offer, but as hyper as she gets now I don't think that catnip would be a good idea.
