The Dawn of a New Day

For the last eight years the US, as well as the rest of the world, have been stuck in a dark nightmare called the Bush administration. During their reign the world economy has collapsed, Iraq has been destroyed, New Orleans has been destroyed, people have been tortured and spied on, and the environment has been trashed. Now this probably not all Bush's fault, but since he has been in charge for the past eight years I think that he probably should get some of the credit.
But today there is hope again. Today a new president is sworn into office and a new group of people will take charge. Hopefully president Obama and his staff will learn from the mistakes of the recent past and will put our county, world and planet back on the right path. Today is the dawn of a new day.

You put it so well. Our then prime minister Howard and Tony Blair of the U.K. will have to live with having to share in the respnsibility of the abominable destrucion of Iraque as well.
